A Little Bit About Me
To be honest, I'm here for two reasons:
1) because marriage is considered half our Deen,
2) my education and career was my top priority but now I am ready for this next chapter of my life.

I know that it is expected for me to now provide a list of adjectives so as to give you a better understanding of who I am...but I find it awkward and just think when you get to know me then you can form your own opinion.

Instead, I will tell you what is most important to me (perhaps it will give you an insight into my personality)...

My Deen - I am a practicing Muslim; I observe Ramadhan, try to pray 5 times a day although I don't always manage to do it. I do not drink alcohol and do not accept the excuse of 'peer pressure'. However, I am keenly aware that I need to increase my knowledge and understanding of Islam and insha'allah hope to do so.

Family - my parents are the most important people in my life, second only to Allah swt. I do have strong family values and believe that we children have a responsibility towards our parents. I believe marriage isn't just between two individuals but between the two families. So, mutual love, respect and understanding between the two are important.

Career - I am ambitious and spent many years on my education to be able to embark on a career which I am proud off. But, I am someone that feels it's important to have a balance between career and family.

Other than this, I love to just chill out with friends and family; restaurants, cinema and especially travelling!!

Also, my 'origins' are as follows: my mother's side are Pathans but she was born in Kenya and my father is from Bangladesh. So, I consider myself mixed and I love and am proud of this fact.

Someone who shares the same outlook on life. I am looking for a honest, genuine partner. Someone who has a sense of humour, is understanding and sociable but can be mature and serious when needed.
